TUESDAY, JUNE 10, 1997 <br /> <br />Street, spoke of his expectations as a parent and City resident of <br />School Board members. There being no other comments Mayor Adams <br />declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br />Council considered adoption of a Resolution supporting the revised <br />Needs Assessment, Planning Study and Program Design relating to the <br />expansion of the W. W. Moore Juvenile Detention Facility. Assistant <br />City Manager Dewey Cashwell noted that this matter was reviewed during <br />the June 5, 1997 Council work session. Upon motion, duly seconded and <br />by unanimous vote, Council adopted the following Resolution: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in <br />regular session assembled June 10, 1997, that it does hereby express <br />its support of the revised Needs Assessment, Planning Study and Program <br />Design relating to an expansion at the W. W. Moore Juvenile Detention <br />Center. <br /> <br />Council considered approval of a Trust Agreement and adoption of a <br />Resolution related to the City's health insurance program. City <br />Manager Earl B. Reynolds, Jr. stated that effective July 1, 1997, the <br />City's health insurance provider would change to Mid Atlantic Medical <br />Services, Inc. Mr. Reynolds said that in order to finalize the <br />agreement with Mid Atlantic, the City must agree to participate in the <br />Political Subdivision Health Benefits Trust. In response to a question <br />from Vice-Mayor Crabtree, Mr. Reynolds stated the new health insurance <br />plan was a managed care plan. Upon motion, duly seconded and by <br />unanimous vote, Council adopted the Resolution and Trust Agreement, a <br />copy of which is on file in the Office of the City Manager. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council adopted the <br />following Resolution: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in regular <br /> <br /> <br />
