<br />Mr. Anderson - aye; Mr. Clark - aye; Mr. Ferrill - aye; Mrs. Lawson - aye; Mr. <br />Reynolds - aye. All members concurred that they had discussed only the matters allowed <br />under the Freedom of Information Act. <br />Under potential litigation, council took no action. <br />Under personnel matters, Mr. Anderson moved to enter a local government attorney <br />agreement effective July 1 with Eric Monday, city attorney. After a second by Mrs. <br />Lawson, council unanimously approved entering into the contract by voice vote. <br />The mayor commended Dan Collins on his service to the city of the Martinsville as <br />its city manager from 2004 through 2007. <br />Mr. Ferrill expressed his thanks to Mr. Collins, thanking him for his open, confident <br />style, his openness, for building strong morale, and for being an effective manager, <br />stating that Martinsville is better off for his leadership. <br />After the mayor expressed his best wishes for Mr. Collins, Mr. Ferrill moved to <br />adjourn. Before adjourning, council entertained comments from Police Chief Mike <br />Rogers for Mr. Collins' leadership. Mr. Clark echoed Mr. Rogers' sentiments. <br />Mr. Anderson seconded Mr. Ferrill's motion to adjourn, and council dismissed at <br />8:52 p.m. <br /> <br />Matthew C.
