Wayne Knox, Director of Community Development, explained that <br /> <br />the Department of Housing and Urban Development is encouraging the local <br /> <br />administrators of Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Programs to work with <br /> <br />recipients of Section 8 assistance to purchase homes utilizing their individual <br /> <br />benefits. Participation in the program requires a public hearing and approval <br /> <br />by Council. The public hearing will be advertised and placed on the February <br /> <br />27 Council Agenda for approval. <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before the Authority, the <br /> <br />Authority was adjourned and Council reconvened at Martinsville City Council. <br />
