<br />February 13, 2007 <br /> <br />Council considered the need to meet in Closed Session. In accordance <br /> <br /> <br />with Section 2.1-344 (A) of the Code of Virginia (1950, and as amended) and <br /> <br /> <br />upon motion by Council Member Ferrill, duly seconded, and by unanimous <br /> <br /> <br />recorded vote, Council convened in Closed Session, for the purpose of <br /> <br />discussing the following matters: A personnel matter as authorized by <br /> <br />Subsection 1 and the disposition of real property as authorized by Subsection <br />3. <br /> <br />At the conclusion of this Closed Session, each returning member of <br /> <br /> <br />Council certified that (1) only public business matters exempt from open <br /> <br /> <br />meeting requirements were discussed in said Closed Session; and (2) only <br /> <br /> <br />those business matters identified in the motion convening the Closed Session <br /> <br />were heard, discussed, or considered during said Session. Upon returning to <br /> <br />Open Session, Council took the following action: <br /> <br />A personnel matter as authorized by Subsection 1 - no action. <br /> <br /> <br />The disposition of real property as authorized by Subsection 3 - Vice <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Clark moved to advertise for bids the city-owned property located at 716 <br /> <br /> <br />Barrows Mill Road; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following <br /> <br />vote, all members voting: Vote-: 5-0. Yeas: (5) Reynolds, Clark, Anderson, <br />Ferrill, Lawson. Nays: (0) None. <br /> <br />Jackie Dillard, of 600 Second Street, asked about the proposed cuts in <br /> <br />the Leisure Services Department and City Manager Collins answered that those <br /> <br />cuts were rescinded by Council's motion in the beginning of the meeting. <br />
