<br />February 13, 2007 <br /> <br />Director of Community Development, made brief comments about the sale and <br /> <br />then the Mayor Reynolds declared the public hearing open. After one question <br /> <br />concerning the location of the property, the Mayor declared the public hearing <br /> <br />closed. Council Member Lawson moved to approve the sale of the property to <br /> <br />James P. Price, Jr. and authorize the City Manager to sign the deed; the motion <br /> <br />was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, all members voting: Vote: <br /> <br />5-0. Yeas: (5) Reynolds, Clark, Anderson, Ferrill, Lawson. Nays: (0) None. <br /> <br />Council next re-considered capital expenditures frozen and other <br /> <br />discretionary expense reductions included in Council's action of December 21, <br /> <br />2006. Robert Collins, City Manager, read over the FY08 budget guidelines <br /> <br />again and reviewed the budget projections, items requested to be removed from <br /> <br />the current list of cuts and recommendations of capital expenditures. After <br /> <br />some discussion, Council Member Lawson moved that the following items be <br /> <br />removed from the list of cuts approved by Council on December 21, 2007: <br /> <br />Critical Care <br />Demolition <br />Retiree Stipend <br />Library Contribution <br />Leisure Services <br />Recycling Center <br />Bulk Trash PU <br />Capital Expenditures <br /> <br />($ 18,750) <br />($ 25,000) <br />($ 7,267) <br />($ 37,320) <br />($175,000) <br />($ 13,000) <br />($ 40,000) <br />($800,000) <br /> <br />and that the CIP listed (Attachment A) be approved as presented; the motion <br /> <br />was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, all members voting: Vote: <br /> <br />4-0-1. Yeas: (4) Reynolds, Clark, Ferrill, Lawson. Nays: (0) None. Abstain: (1) <br /> <br />Anderson. <br />
