<br />February 13, 2007 <br /> <br />A regular work session of the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, <br /> <br /> <br />was held on February 13, 2007, in Council Chamber, Municipal Building, <br /> <br /> <br />beginning at 4:00 P. M., with Mayor Kimble Reynolds presiding. Council <br /> <br /> <br />Members present included: Kimble Reynolds, Jr., Mayor, James W. Clark, Vice <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor and Council Members Mark T. Anderson, J. Ronald Ferrill and Kathy C. <br /> <br />Lawson. Mayor Reynolds opened the meeting. <br /> <br />Council first conducted a public hearing approvmg the sale of City- <br /> <br /> <br />owned real property consisting of approximately 2,800 square feet fronting <br /> <br /> <br />1324 South Memorial Boulevard to Randy Powell and authorizing the City <br /> <br /> <br />Manager to execute a deed conveying said property as noted. Mayor Reynolds <br /> <br />declared the public hearing open. Wayne Knox, Director of Community <br /> <br />Development, made brief comments about the sale. After no further <br /> <br />comments, the Mayor declared the public hearing closed. Council Member <br /> <br /> <br />Ferrill moved to approve the sale of the property to Randy Powell and authorize <br /> <br /> <br />the City Manager to sign the deed; the motion was duly seconded and carried <br /> <br /> <br />by the following vote, all members voting: Vote: 5-0. Yeas: (5) Reynolds, Clark, <br /> <br /> <br />Anderson, Ferrill, Lawson. Nays: (0) None. <br /> <br />Council conducted another public hearing approvmg the sale of City- <br /> <br />owned real property consisting of approximately 2,000 square feet fronting 511 <br /> <br />South Memorial Boulevard to James P. Price, Jr. and authorizing the City <br /> <br />Manager to execute a deed conveying said property as noted. Wayne Knox, <br />
