MdGheo, Secretary City Planning Commission No opposition being expressed to said proposed rezoning, Council effected said rezoning .,,--- by adopting the following ordinance with !lemergency clause attached!l: Be it ordai ned by the Council of the City of I.Iartinsville, Virginia, in regular meeting assembled this twelfth day of April, 1955, that Title I of the Planning 2.nd Zoning Code and the Zoning Map of the City of lviartinsville be amended whereby the following area is hereby classified as "B-l Businoss": ~::.~ ~~ i Beginning at a point in the east line of Ellsworth Street 150 feet south of the south line of Church Street; thence in an easterly direction along the south line of the present B-1 Business District along Church Street, and parallel to Church Street, to a point in the west line of Cleveland Avenue 150 feet so~th of Church Street; thence in a southerly direction along the west line of said Cleveland Avenue to a point ap1Jroximately 360 feet south of the south line of Church street; thence a straight line, in a westerly direction along the north line of tj.1e proposed extension of Chestnut Street (as laid out on a plan of record in the office of the Planning EngL'1Ger of the City of Martinsville) to a point in the east line of Ellsworth Street 396 feet, more or less, SO~~1 of the south lihe of Church street; thence along said east line of Ellswo:bth Street in a northerly Qirection to the point of beginning.
