<br />Notice is hereby given that the undersigned has this day applied to the
<br />Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, for the abandonment of a certain
<br />street located in Chatham Heights, Martinsvi1le, Virginia, passing between Lots
<br />#5 and #6 as shown on a map of Chatham Heights, prepared by Moore and Trent,
<br />Surveyors, September, 1938, and of record in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit
<br />Court of Henry County in Map Book 2, page 34, and which street forks at a point
<br />on the Northerly side of the Chatham Road approximately 84.3 feet from the same
<br />on the Westerly side thereof and 56.4 feet on the Easterly side thereof, and
<br />forms two thirty-foot streets which pass on either s ide of a Church lot designated
<br />on said map, and that the undersigned also has this day applied to the Council of
<br />the City of Martinsville to be allowed to dedicate two streets to be substituted
<br />for the said streets to be abandoned, said new streets to lie one on each side of
<br />the said Church property and be fifty feet in width, all as shown on a map of the
<br />prop:orty of Chatham Heights Baptist Church, prepared by W. I. McGhee, C.r' .E.,
<br />dated the 6th day of December, 1952, and filed 1vith the petition to be filed with
<br />the City Council in this cause.
<br />
<br />This notice is given pursuant to Sections 33-157 and 15-766 of the Code of
<br />Virginia of 1950 as amended.
<br />
<br />Given under our hands, this 22nd day of December, 1952.

<br />door of the Courthouse of the Circuit Court of the City of Martinsville, and two
<br />others at public places in the City of Martinsville, on the 22nd day of December,
<br />1952, and that this posting continued until the 13th day of January, 1953, in
<br />accordance with Sections 33-157 and 15-766 of the Code of Virginia of 1950 as
<br />ame nde d.
