<br />4( <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />FEBRUARY 21... 1959 <br /> <br />Streets, in accordance with the general terms and conditions set forth by City <br /> <br />Manager Hirst in his following report: <br /> <br />I have today, with R. A. Henderson, Jr., talked with Miss Ethel Stanley <br />about her two pieces of property on Moss Street. <br /> <br />The lot with the house she occupies has 65 ft. frontage, 100 ft. depth. <br /> <br />The adjacent lot with house (rented) has 63 ft. frontage, 100 ft. depth. <br />With this lot goes a strip 47 ft. in width (parallel to Moss) and 10 ft. <br />in depth between the back of her sister's lot and the side of the health <br />department property. Her sister's lot incidentally is 47 ft. frontage on <br />Moss and 90 ft. deep. <br /> <br />Value of Miss Stanley's two lots based on 1958 tax assessment $29,685. <br /> <br />The conditions of her selling - subject to your approval are: <br /> <br />Sale price - $31,000 <br /> <br />Deed be prepared with City to get title March 1, 1959. She to <br />have occupancy of house in which she lives after June 1 subject to 30 days <br />witten notice by City to vacate. 30 day provision not to apply to the <br />adjoining house which she is currently renting. <br /> <br />Funds available for initial payment by City are: <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Police and Fire Facilities <br /> <br />$ 9,402.16 <br /> <br />8,907.76 <br />$18,309.92 <br /> <br />(Distribution) <br />$ 8,402.16 <br /> <br />6.597.84 <br />$15,000.00 <br /> <br />(Balance) <br />$1,000.00 <br /> <br />General Fund Emergency <br /> <br />2,309.92 <br />l3,309.92 <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded, and unanimously carried, Council authorized the purchase <br /> <br />of the property, pending preparation and execution of proper deed and pending <br /> <br />agreement with Kiss Stanley as to disposition of rentals on the property, Council <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />stipulating that the right of anticipation be reserved to the City with respect to <br /> <br />the payment of balances due by the City. By a recorded and unanimous vote, Council <br /> <br />appropriated necessary funds for the initial payment by transferring funds from the <br /> <br />accounts hereinabove recommended by City Manager Hirst. <br />
