Section 4. That a copy of "The Code of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, 1956n shall be filed in the office of the city manager and made available to persons desiring to examine the same. In connection with a recent conference with the State Connnission on Local Debt dealing with the marketing of the $2,200,000 School bonds authorized and certain suggestions offered by City Attorney Stone, Council requested that the City Attorney, Mayor Shultz, and City Manager Hirst study and report back to Council on these IC~ i,-c> ~~I~~ i suggestions. In response to an inquiry from Owens Road residents, Council advised that final determination will be made as soon as possible as to which streets will receive curb-and-gutter improvelll9nts during the current budget year. After reviewing the bids submitted by local automobile dealers to furnish an automobile for the City'S Fire Department, Council unan:illlously accepted the low bid (of $1,753.61) submitted by Mitchell Motors and, also, by a recorded unanimous vote transferred the ,- sum of $1,755.00 from the General Fund Emergency Account to the Fire Department budget to provide funds for the purchase of the automobile to replace that furnished heretofore without cost by Burroughs4Vhite Chevrolet Corporation. Council expressed its sincere
