<br />9 <br /> <br />TUES DAY <br /> <br />DECEMBER 18, 1956 <br /> <br />,,'- <br /> <br />(Approving the Completed Preliminary Plarming Report Prepared with an Advance <br />From. the United States of America Under the tenus of Public La,,. 560, 83rd <br />Congress of the United States, APprOved August 2, 1954.) <br /> <br />Whereas, the City of Martinsville, Virginia accepted an offer from the <br />United States Goverre'lEnt for an advance for preliminary plan preparation of <br />a public work described as extensions to a sewerage system, interceptor lines <br />and disposal plant; and <br /> <br />Whereas, Wiley & Wilson, Consulting Engineers, Iifnchburg, Virginia was <br />engaged to prepare a preliminary planning report for the aforesaid public <br />work, and said architect and/or engineer has completed the report and sub- <br />mitted it for approval; and <br /> <br />Whereas, the completed preliminary planning report has been carefully <br />studied and is considered to comprise adequate preliminary planning of the <br />public work essential to the cormnunity and within the financial ability of <br />the City of Martinsville to construct; <br /> <br />Mi"~ <br />iii~ <br />i <br />,= <br /> <br />Now, Therefore, be it resolved by 'The City Council, the governing body <br />of said applicant, that the planning report submitted by Wiley & Wilson as <br />the basis for detailed planning and construction of the extensions to a <br />sewerage system, interceptor lines and disposal plant dated November 28, <br />1956, in connection with Housing and Home Finance Agency Project No. Va. <br />44-P-3002 be and the same is hereby approved; and that certified copies of <br />this resolution be filed with the Housing and Home Finance Agency as a part <br />of the preliminary planning report. <br /> <br />(Approving the Completed Planning Documents Prepared with an Advance From <br />the United states of America Under the terms of Public Law 560, 83rd <br />Congress of the United States, as amended.) <br /> <br />,,- <br /> <br />Whereas, The City of Martinsville, Virginia accepted an offer from the <br />United States Government for an advance for preparation of planning docu- <br />ments pertaining to a public work described as extensions to a sewerage <br />system, interceptor lines and disposal plant; and <br /> <br />Whereas, Wiley & Wilson, Consulting Engineers, Iivnchburg, Virginia was <br />engaged to prepare the 'planning documents fC1r the aforesaid public work, <br />and said architect and/or engineer has completed the documents and sub- <br />mitted them for approval; and~j <br /> <br />Whereas, the completed planning documents have been carefully studied and <br />are considered to comprise adequate planning of the public work essential <br />to the community and within the financial ability of the City of <br />Martinsvi1le to construct; <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Now, Therefore, be it resolved by The City Council, the governing body of <br />said applicant, that the planning cbcuments submitted by Wiley & Wilson as <br />the basis for (x) detailed planning ( ) construction of the extensions to a <br />sewerage system, interceptor lines and disposal plant dated November 28, <br />1956 in cormection with Housing and Home Finance Ar,ercy Project No. Va. <br />44-P-J002 be and the sallE are hereby approved; am that certified copies of <br />this resolution be filed with the Housing and Home Finance Agency. <br /> <br />r <br />
