W. Clark's property <br />at 209 Cleveland Avenue to Mulberry Kxtension be <br />reduced to approximately 103 feet to the back property <br />lines of lots fronting on said Cleveland Avenue within <br />the boundary lines hereinbefore described. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that, an emergency existing, this <br />ordinance shall become effective on date of passage. <br /> <br />At the request of Council (from October 23rd meeting) members of the <br /> <br /> <br />City Planning Commission (Messrs. Leon Globman, John Hartley, Stafford <br /> <br />Whittle, and Walker H. Graves) appeared before Council to discuss the <br /> <br />Commission's October 23rd report and recommendation regarding its <br /> <br />planning prograi'll and the urban renewal program. After some discussion, <br /> <br />Council unanimously accepted the Commission's report and recommendation, <br /> <br />authorizing the Commission to proceed to the extent of its current <br /> <br />$1,500.00 appropriation and, if necessary during the current year, to <br /> <br />return to Council for additional funds required in keeping with the <br /> <br />schedule and, too, in keeping with Council's suggestion that the planning <br /> <br />program and study be completed if possible within the next two years. <br /> <br />In addition to a letter from the Albert Harris PTA, a large group of <br />in <br />citizens, living/the vicinity of Albert Harris School or who have children <br /> <br />attending this school, appeared before Council in support of the PTAts <br /> <br />request that protection, in addition to that already provided, be <br /> <br />provided for Albert Harris school children at the following street <br /> <br />crosswalks: <br /> <br />Smith Road and Fayette street; <br />Massey and Church Streets; and <br />Hemorial Boulevard and Beaver Street. <br />
