<br />~ <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />NO~IDER 13. 1956 <br /> <br />The group, as well as the PTA, also urged Council to authorize immediate <br /> <br />improvements to West Fayette street (approximately 100 yards beyond its <br /> <br />intersection with Memorial Boulevard) to prevent water collecting and <br /> <br />standing on the right-of-way in that area. Council referred these requests <br /> <br />to City Manager Hirst, suggesting that a cost estimate be prepared covering <br /> <br />some improvement to Fayette Street. <br /> <br />In order to meet not only present demands on the City's Electric System <br /> <br />but also to prepare for fUture anticipated demands and needs, City Manager <br /> <br />Hirst and the Electric Division presented the following recommendations <br /> <br />(enti tIed "Steps 1, 2, & 3 II) which were made a part of a study report of <br /> <br />the electric system: <br /> <br />~:@ <br />)~.~ <br />let <br />\~ <br /> <br />Step I: <br />To be proceeded with immediately using funds currently <br />available in the lq56-57 budget with additional funds as <br />noted.
