Muffling Devices <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful to use a boat propelled in whole or in part by a <br />motor unless the same is provided wi th a stock factory nmffler, under- <br />water exhaust or other modern device capable of adequately muffling <br />the sound of the exhaust of the engine. Tho phrase "adequate Ilmffling" <br />shall mean that the motor's exhaust at all tires be so muffled or <br />suppressed as not to disturb the peace and quiet of persons in the <br />vicinity. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Safety a.rrl Sanitary Equipment <br /> <br />a. All boats shall be provided with one U. S. Coast Guard approved <br />life preserver, ring life buoy, or bouyant cushion for each person <br />on board. <br /> <br />b. No person nhall carry in any boat 2110re tl1..al1 five gallons of fuel <br />at any time and such fuel must be in one container of an approved <br />type . <br /> <br />c. Each boat shall be supplied wi th a pail, to be used only for sanitary <br />pur1)oses. <br /> <br />d. No person under tre influence of alcohol shall operate or be a <br />passenger in a boat on the reservoir at any time. <br /> <br />e. No person operating a boat shall allow any person to ride or sit on <br />either the starboard or port gumrales thereof or on the deck of the <br />bow of the vessel while under way. <br /> <br />f. The operator of any boat involved in an accident resulting in injury <br />or death of any person or in damage to property shall immediately <br />stop such boat at the scene of such accident and shall give his name, <br />address and registration number of his boat to the person struck or <br />the operator or occupants of the boat collided wit..~, and shall <br />render to any person injured in such an accident reasonable <br />assistance and shall immediately report such accident to the <br />caretaker. <br /> <br />g. The maximum horse !)ower of outboard or inboard motors shall not <br />exceed three and one-half horse pUffer. <br /> <br />h. No person shall operate a boat wi thin the restricted water area <br />adjoLning the spillway and intake tower or in any water area that <br />is similarly restricted. <br /> <br />i. A boat shall not be operated by a person under seventeen (17) years <br />of age. Persons under seventeen years of age may enter a boat if" <br />accompanied by an adult. <br />
