L32 TUESDAY FEBRUARY 23, 196q in its curb-and-gutter construction policy by considering all of the Stone property as a c orner lot (actually one lot being a corner lot on Fayette and Secorrl Streets with a depth on Second Street of 180', thus eligible for the 35-cent rate, and the remaining lots fronting on Second Street for a distance of 560'), with the under- standing that no driveway entrances shall be constructed by the City along the Stone property. Council continued its study of plans made several years ago for the development of the City's "Airport Property", suggesting that the local Chamber of Connnerce be invited to study this matter with Council. In response to an inquiry from City Manager Hirst, Council suggested that represent- atives of manufacturers of both cast-iron pipe and asbestos-cement pipe be invited for a limited appearance before Council to present the merits of their respective types of pipe. Meanwhile, Council sugges ted that data be obtained on such pipe from the Federal Bur-eau of Standards and the Institute of Testing.
