<br />1~ <br /> <br />TUES DAY <br /> <br />FEBRUARY 23, 1960 <br /> <br />agreement, for Council's comideration, which would relieve the City of any <br /> <br />liability through activities of the club and would be subject to termination at <br /> <br />any time. <br /> <br />/-, <br /> <br />Representatives of property OrVners residing on Chatham Heights between Bethel Lane <br /> <br /> <br />and Myrtle Road appeared before Council and reported that full participation has <br /> <br /> <br />been secured towards the construction of curb-and-gutter on that portion of Chatham <br /> <br />Heights . <br /> <br />Representatives of the Community Hospital Board of Trustees, by letter and also <br /> <br /> <br />appearance before Council, requested exception to the City's utility tariffs <br /> <br /> <br />applicable to the hospital whereby special consideration would be given the hospital <br /> <br /> <br />through a reduction of applicable utility rates and charges. Council continued this <br /> <br />matter. <br /> <br />City Treasurer William R. Shumate recommended that Council request the State <br /> <br />--- <br /> <br />Legislature to enact an amencbrent to Section 2 of Chapter 11 of the City Charter <br /> <br />to provide and set forth clearly the responsibilities of the Treasurer, Commissioner <br /> <br />of the RevEmue, and the City Registrar in the preparation of the required list of <br /> <br />registered qualified voters in the cases of bond referendums or elections.
