" TUESDAY MAY 5. 1959 Council took the request under advisement pending the availability of adequate facilities. Meanwhile, Council asked for appraisal or review of revenue being realized from sewer service charges as imposed in 1958, compared with anticipated revenue at the time the new charges were imposed. Upon being advised that a proposed subdivision contract, as presented, with Lester Lumber Compcny, Inc., meets the requirements of the City's Subdivision Ordinan03, Council approved said contract for City Manager Hirst IS signature. This contract covered certain improvements (within the scope of the subdivision ordinance) on Oneida Street. Council was informed of the expiration on July 1, 1959 of the term. of Mr. James R. English as a member of the City School Board. City Manager Hirst reported that there is developing a problem in the City's shared-cost curb-and-gutter policy in that on certain primary routes where improvements (widening and curb-and-gutter construction) might be made in the foreseeable future it appears impossible to obtain the required participation in costs by all property owners. 1>~. Hirst suggested that Council might want to remove or separate these primary routes (#57, #58, and #108) from the regular curb-and-gutter policy whereby such construction on these routes would be entirely at City expense. Council suggested, meanwhile, that a report of current traffic counts on these routes be presented to Council at its next regular meeting.
