42

TUESDAY

JULY 13. 1222.

As a result of its further consideration of a petition requesting the rezoning

of proper~ies on the north side of East Church Street, between Starling and

Oakdale Streets, in which Council concluded that, if the petition is to be

granted, a street right-of-way of 84 feet in this block should be available

and appropriate building set-backs required, Council re-referred the petition

to the Planning Commission for review in the light of these developments.

In acceptance of the Planning Commission's recommendation, Council authorized

Forest Park Country Club to connect its clubhouse to the City's sewerage

system, subject to all applicable tariffs, rules, and regulations and contingent

upon the recording by Forest Park Country Club of covenants to "run" with the

property and restricting it to the allowances and requirements enumerated in

the City's Zoning Ordinance for "R-16 Residential" zoning; and, further,

contingent upon the satisfactory separation of the clubhouse water usage from

the system supplying the golf course.

In tentative acceptance of the Planning Commission's recommendation, Council

called for a public hearing to be conducted at Council's forthcoming August

10th meeting on a petition--submitted by Mr. Preston R. Graham, of 716 Liberty

Street--requesting the rezoning to "C-3 Commercial" of two lots (numbers 2

and 3) fronting the east side of Liberty Street in the vicinity of Mr.
Graham's property at 716 Liberty Street, provided a twenty-five (25) foot
"buffer" strip adjoining the west boundary of Roselawn Cemetery remains
residentially zoned as now classified.

By letter dated July 12th, the Planning Commission reported that it concurs

in Council's recent action directing the closing and vacating of GranitStreet
