<br />~32 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />NOVEMBER 10. 1964 <br /> <br />Jamestown, New York, to furnish three new and additional voting machines for <br /> <br />use in the November 3rd election and, further, recommended that the City <br /> <br />purchase these three machines. Council indicated that it will proceed with <br /> <br />the redistricting of the City for new voting precincts and, also, authorized <br /> <br />the purchase of the three new machines (Nos. 118,467 through 118,469) in <br /> <br />accordance with a proposed contract with the manufacturer, each machine to <br /> <br />cost $1,606.00 for a total of $4,818.00, payable in five equal installments <br /> <br />over a period of five years, beginning December 15, 1964, and carrying an <br /> <br />annual interest charge of 4% on unpaid balance after December 15, 1964. <br /> <br />For the initial payment of '$963.60 (principal) due December 15, 1964, Council <br /> <br />authorized the transfer of $963.60 from its General Fund Emergency Account <br /> <br />and appropriated this amount therefor. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged receipt of - -and ordered filed for consideration during <br /> <br />the preparation of the City's 1965-66 budget--a petition from fourteen <br /> <br />residents of Barrows Mill Road, requesting the construction of curb-and-gutter <br /> <br />along this street between Burgess Street and Wood Street-Burgess Court. <br /> <br />City Manager Hirst reported--and Council acknowledged with regrets--the <br /> <br />impending resignation (on November 27, 1964) of Mrs. Elizabeth T. Long as <br /> <br />Librarian of Martinsville Memorial Public Library.
