<br />21 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />APRIL 14. 1964 <br /> <br />,- <br /> <br />reimburse the customer in an amount equal to the material <br />saving to the Uti2-ity because of the underground installation. <br />If at any time the Utility needs to replace a pole which under- <br />ground conduit is supported by, the customer shall be notified <br />of the time and he shall have his elc,ctricians on hand to take <br />care of the service while pole replacement is being made. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />RULES & REGULATIO~S: <br />Section 2 (b): <br />Relays and Connections. Patrons of the Electric Department must <br />install, at their own expense, approved reverse phase relays on <br />all alternating current motors for elevators and hoists. The <br />City shall not be responsible for any damages, whatsoever, if <br />caused by a reversal of current, unless the reversal of current <br />is a direct result of negligence on the part of the Electric <br />Department or its employees. In areas served by overhead lines <br />where a customer in such area desires that the service be run <br />underground from the pole to the building, such customer shal <br />install the service equipment only upo~ authorization of and under <br />the supervision of the Electric Department and, furthermore, such <br />installation shall be made and, also, maintained by the customer <br />at his own expense. The Utility will, upon request, reimburse the <br />customer in an amount equal to the material saving to the Utility <br />because of the underground LlStallation. <br /> <br />City Manager Hirst informed Council that customarily and for some years <br /> <br />growers of produce, etc., as defined in Section 22 of Chapter II of the <br /> <br />City's Business & Occupational License Tax Code, have been permitted to sell <br /> <br />their produ::ts from vehicles parked on the City's Fayette Street Parking Lot <br /> <br />because therc,; is no public market place in the City. Recently, a peddler-- <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />of whom there is required a license tax--has also parked his vehicle on this <br /> <br />lot and offered for sale his purchased products and wishes to continue doing <br /> <br />so; however, Council expressed the opinion that only properly certificated- <br /> <br />growers should be allowed to use this lot for marketing their products. <br /> <br />Meanwhile, Cou~cil continued this matter for further consideration. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Councilman Burch, referring to the new Zoning Code recently enacted and <br /> <br />referring to the complaint of Mr. Charlie M.
