Harrison Joyce, counsel for Sale Knitting Company in the fore- <br /> <br />going matter, informing Council of his client's intention to construct a <br /> <br />building or buildings for industrial purposes on property now owned or to <br /> <br />be acquired by Sale Knitting Company on or along Roy Street, requested <br /> <br />Council to rezone such property to permit the industrial expansion of Sale <br /> <br />Knitting Company as anticipated. Council referred this request to the <br /> <br />Planning Commission for its consideration and recommendation. <br /> <br />Under date of February 28, 1964, William Z. Ford, CPA, presented copies <br /> <br />of an audit report covering the !!turnover accountability!! of the late <br /> <br />William R. Shumate, who died !!in office!! as Treasurer for the City on <br /> <br />January 12, 1964. The report indicated that, at the conclusion of the <br /> <br />auditor's examination, receipts were obtained from the incoming Treasurer, <br /> <br />John W. Bouldin, Jr., and an appropriate acknowledgment was obtained from <br /> <br />J. S. Beck, acting under Power of Attorney from the estate of William R. <br /> <br />Shumate, dec~ased, for the following assets and accounts of the City: <br /> <br />(a) Cash on hand and in bank depositories; <br />(b) Unsold dog tags; paid jury warrants; reimbursable vouchers; <br />and cooperative stock certificates; <br />(c) Accounts for uncollected real estate, personal property and <br />license taxes; <br />(d) Certificates of deposits; and <br />(e) Accounts for uncollected utility billings and customers' <br />utility deposits. <br /> <br />
