2~ TUESDAY MAY 1 4. 1968 license tax rates--other than those on retail merchants, manufacturers, and utilities-- be reduced 25%, effective May 1, 1969. Councilman Hartford and Vice-Mayor Stone, while expressing a desire to consider tax adjustments coincident with consideration of the 1968-69 Budget yet to be received, opposed giving consideration to any adjustments until sufficient study has been given said proposed budget to ascertain the City's financial needs. The motion was voted upon as follows: "Ayes" - Councilmen West and Boaz; "Noes" - Councilmen Hartford and Stone.
