, l' J (' ~: ,l'._.A .~ TUESDAY o=rOBER 10. 1967 General Recommendation The City should institute a policy of charging an annual sprinkler standby charge of one dollar per sprinkler head on all City supplied systems outside the corDorate limi~s, with the charge system to be effective with the bc'ginning of the next calendar year and to involve annual payments in advance. Presently, the indGstrics in the Park pay the City only for domestic 'water service. Four of the five industries alreadJ served by the ParK sJstem have installed sprinkler sJstems, and in these four buildings we estimate that a total of about 4,375 sprinkler heads are in service, and that in the soon to be completed Frith building about 2,100 heads will be i os taIled. Outside the Pac-k area only one sprinkler ,3ystem is served by the City-- the "hopping center on ArmorJ Road at Route 220, and 'de estinate thB.t at that location about 5 heads are connected. In all, we estimate that there are a total of 7,050 sDrinkler heads to 1~Jhich this recommended policy would apply. Council unanimously accepted tte "interim" recornrnendations, as cited and as theJ pertain to the Frith Family Trust building under construction.
