<br />{) ~, <br />tLf 0 <br /> <br />TUESDAY JULY 25. 1967 <br /> <br />(1) That portion of an unopened alley lying between the East <br />margin of the Norfolk & Western Railway Company property <br />and Lots 78 and 67 between Maryland Street and Winston <br />Winston Street; and <br /> <br />(2) That unopened alley that divides Lots 78 and 79 from Lots <br />67, 68 and 69, which lies between Lavinder Street and the <br />East margin of the Norfolk & Western Railway Company, as <br />shown on plat submitted. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that a copy of this ordinance shall forthwith <br />be filed with the Clerk of the Corporation Court of the City of <br />Martinsville, Virginia, as directive that his records be marked <br />accordingly. <br /> <br />(3) WHEREAS, by petition filed June 27, 1967 with Martinsville City <br />Council, Martinsville Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Inc., requested <br />the discontinuance and abandonment of that certain unopened forty- <br />foot entrance road leading off the West side of Memorial Boulevard <br />(South), hereinafter described; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said petition, Martinsville City Council <br />appointed a Board of Viewers to perform the duties set forth in <br />Section 15.1-364 of the CODE OF VIRGINIA, 1950, and as amended; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Board has duly performed said duties and, under date <br />of July 24, 1967, has reported in writing to Martinsville City Council <br />that in said Board1s opinion no inconvenience would result to anyone <br />whatsoever if said entrance road is closed and abandoned; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in <br />regular meeting assembled this twenty-fifth day of July, 1967, that it <br />doth hereby accept the findings of said Board of Viewers and doth hereby <br />order the discontinuance and abandonment of said entrance road, more <br />specifically described as follows: <br /> <br />That certain unopened 40-foot entrance road leading off the West <br />side of Route #220 in South Martinsville, Virginia, which unopened <br />road lies between the property of Martinsville Coca-Cola Bottling <br />Company, Inc., and E. W. Ayers as shown on a map prepared by J. A. <br />Gustin on June 23, 1960, for Martinsville Coca-Cola Bottling <br />Company, Lc., of record in Map Book 7, page 39 of the City of <br />Martinsville Corporation Court Clerk's Office. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that a copy of this ordinance shall forthwith be <br />filed with the Clerk of the Corporation Court of the City of Martinsville, <br />Virginia, as directive that his records be marked accordingly. <br />
