1!l TUESDAY JULY 25. 1967 (1) That certain unnamed 15-foot alley at the Southern end of Overton Street described as follows: BEGINNING at the intersection of Overton Street with the northern margin of said 15-foot alley located at the southwest corner of Lot 18, property of Evelyn H. Stone, Trustee; and thence with the northern margin of said alley, N. 670 36' 32Tl E. 266.14 feet to the southeast corner of Lot 18 located in a line of other property of Evelyn H. Stone, Trustee; thence with said line, S. 140 28115" E.1514 feet to the northeast corner of Lot 19, property of Evelyn H. Stone, Trustee; thence along the front lines of Lots 19 and 20 to the northwest corner of Lot 20, property of Evelyn H. Stone, Trustee, S. 670 36' 32" w. 265.69 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot 20; thence across said alley, N.160 11' 40" W. 15.09 feet to the beginning. (2) Part of that certain 31.35-foot unnamed alley, lying along the rear lot line of Lot 1, property of Evelyn H. Stone, Trustee, which said lot fronts on Memorial Boulevard and being described as follows: BEGINNING in the northern margin of said 31.35-foot alley located at the common corner of Lot 1, property of Evelyn H. Stone, Trustee, and Lot 2, property of Nease, Wheeler and Blackard; thence along the northern margin of said alley, N. 580 03' 20" E. 71.85 feet to the southeast corner of Lot 1; thence across the eastern end of said alley to the northeast corner of Lot 14, property of Evelyn H. Stone, Trustee, S. 140 28' 15" E. 31.45 feet; thence along the southern margin of said alley to a point in the side lot line of Lot 14, S. 580 031 20fl W. 71.45 feet; thence across said alley N. 150 101 49" w. 31.33 feet to the point of beginning. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that a copy of this ordinance shall forthwith be filed with the Clerk of the Corporation Court of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, as directive that his records be marked accordingly. (2) WHEREAS, by petition filed June 27, 1967, Mr. G. N. DeShazo requested the discontinuance and abandonment of alleys, or portions thereof, hereinabove referred to and hereinafter more specifically described; and WHEREAS, pursuant to said petition, Martinsville City Council appointed a Board of Viewers to perform the duties set forth in Section 15.1-364 of the CODE OF VIRGINIA, 1950, and as amended; and - WHEREAS, said Board has duly performed said duties and, under date of July 24, 1967, has reported in writing to Martinsville City Council that in said Board's opinion no inconvenience will result to anyone whatsoever if said alleys (or portions thereof) are closed and abandoned; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in regular meeting assembled this twenty-fifth day of July, 1967, that it doth hereby accept the findings of said Board of Viewers and doth hereby order the discontinuance and abandonment of said alleys (or portions thereof) which are more specifically described as follows:
