Disposition <br />of any such dog shall be in accordance with Section 2-0 of this chapter. <br /> <br />Sec. 2-16 Quarantine of Dogs. <br />When in the judgment of the City Health Director an emergency shall <br />be deemed to exist in the city or any section thereof, due to a wide- <br />spread rabies epizootic, for the protection of the public health the <br />Health Director may declare a quarantine in the city or such section thereof <br />~s may be affected, and restrict all dogs to the owner's premises and/or to <br />the immediate custody of a responsible person for the duration of such <br />emergency as it is set forth. <br /> <br />Sec. 2-17 Penalty. <br />Any person, firm, or corporation deemed guilty of violation of any <br />of the provisions of this ordinance shall be punished as provided in <br />Section 1-6 of the City Code. <br /> <br />Sec. 2-18 Repeal of Conflicting Ordinances. <br />All ordinances or regulations of the city in conflict with the pro- <br />visions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Sec. 2-19 Effective Date; Separability of Provisions of Ordinance. <br />This ordinance shall be in effect on and after October 15, 1966. <br />The invalidity of any section or subsection of this ordinance shall not <br />invalidate any other section or subsection thereof. <br /> <br />NOTE: All members of Council, with exception of Councilman West, voted <br />affirmatively on motion to adopt foregoing; Councilman West voted <br />"in negative" after having expressed his reasons for opposing said <br />amendments. <br /> <br />City Manager Noland informed Council that final action by the Federal Government-- <br /> <br />on the City's application for Mass Transportation funds toward the purchase of <br /> <br />local public transit (replacement) busses--might now be expected not before the <br /> <br />latter part of October, 1966, or approximately a month beyong the present <br /> <br />"deadline" set by the bus manufacturer for the placing of a firm order for such <br /> <br />bUsses. <br /> <br />Confirming verbal agreement by Council, as recorded in its April 26th (1966) <br /> <br />minutes, Council authorized City Manager Noland to execute--on behalf of the <br /> <br />City--a "subdivision" contract with the Whittle Family Irrevocable Trust, <br />
