<br />n <br /> <br />TUESDAY JANUARY 13, 1970 <br /> <br />(d) Number dwelling units per structure ~inimum) . 3 <br />Number dwelling units per structure (maximum). . 8 <br />(e) Minimum lot area (square feet) per unit . . 1,800 <br />(f) Front and rear yard requirements shall be the <br />same as for single family detached dwellings in <br />the same district. <br />(g) Minimum side yard for end and corner units (feet) 20 <br />(h) Minimum lot width (feet) 18 <br />(i) Minimum distance between structures (feet) 40 <br />(j) Minimum private street width, curb-to-curb (feet) 24 <br />Minimum private street width, right-of-way (feet) 37 <br />(k) Fencing and screen planting as determined by the <br />Planning Commission. <br />(1) Staggering of unit front building line may be <br />required at the discretion of the Planning Commission. <br />(M) Minimum parking spaces, off-street, per unit 2 <br /> <br />Pursuant to--and in tentative acceptance of--the recommendation of the City <br /> <br />Planning Commission (under date of January 13, 1970), Council called for a <br /> <br />duly-advertised public hearing to be conducted at Council's forthcoming <br /> <br />February 10th meeting on Sale Knitting Company's petition (introduced October <br /> <br />28, 1969) requesting the rezoning to "M-2 Industrial" of its properties <br /> <br />identified as the former North Martinsville School (recently purchased by <br /> <br />petitioner from the Martinsville City School Board) on Dillard Street and an <br /> <br />adjoining lot immediately north of the former School tract. <br /> <br />Through Mr. Irving R. McGhee, Traffic & Planning Engineer, the Planning <br /> <br />Commission informed Council that it has been unable to meet statutory <br /> <br />requirements to permit a joint public hearing by Council and the Commission <br /> <br />at Council's forthcoming January 27th meeting, on the application filed <br /> <br />December 18th (1969) by J. R. S. Enterprises for a special-use permit to <br /> <br />allow construction of a medical complex along Northside Drive and adjacent <br /> <br />to the site of the new Martinsville General Hospital. Accordingly, a joint <br /> <br />public hearing on this matter was scheduled for Council's forthcoming <br /> <br />February 10th meeting. <br />
