"Wes" Shumate Received Twenty-three Hundred Twenty-seven votes <br />November 6, 1969 <br /> <br />1828 <br />2394 <br />876 <br />2327 <br /> <br />We, the undersigned, Commissioners of the Election held in the <br />City of Martinsville on the first Tuesday in November, 1969, certify <br />that the above statement of votes is a true and correct Abstract from <br />the returns of said Election, and do therefore determine and declare <br />that Jesse D. Clift received the highest number of votes cast at said <br />Election for Clerk of Court for the City of Martinsville, and that Deward <br />B. Hanel received the highest number of votes cast at said Election for <br />Commissioner of Revenue for the City of Martinsville, and that John J. <br />Hartley received the highest number of votes cast at said Election for <br />Commonwealth Attorney for the City of Martinsville, and that James L. <br />Carter received the highest number of votes cast at said Election for <br />City Sergeant for the City of Martinsville, and that John W. Bouldin, Jr. <br />received the highest number of votes cast at said Election for Treasurer <br />for the City of Martinsville, and that, Al. V. Krupski, Robert L. Draper <br />and S. E. "Wes" Shumate received the highest number of votes cast at <br />said election for Justices of the Peace for the City of Martinsville. <br /> <br />Given under our hands <br />Signed? <br /> <br />the day above written: <br />Elizabeth T.
