Upon acceptance of the amended franchise granted by this ordinance, the grantee shall notify the Clerk of the council of the fiscal year period of the grantee." Section 16. Acquisition by City, appearing on page 13, is amended to read as follows: "Section 16. Removal of Equipment. Upon the termi- nation of this franchise and the rights granted hereunder, whether by expiration or forfeiture, the city council may direct and require the grantee to remove its wires, cables, fixtures and accessories and appurtenances from the streets. To this accom- plishment, if directed, the city shall retain the surety bond as prescribed in this franchise." Section 24. Effective Date on page 16, is amended to read as follows: This ordinance shall be in force from and after the day of December, 1973. All prOV1Slons of the ordinance aforesaid originally enacted March 22, 1966, not amended herein, shall remain in full force and effect. Pursuant to request filed by Patrick Henry Lodge No. 82, Knights of Pythians, Council granted said Lodge permission to conduct Bingo Games in its Lodge Hall, subject to compliance with all applicable statutes. Council continued for consideration in duly-called Executive Session the matter of compensation to be paid each member of the 1974 Board of Assossors. if
