Brown presented an estimate of the cost to

renovate and adapt said property for usage as a bus maintenance facility by

the City (being approximately $27,346.00, plus some $8,000.00 for equipment).

In addition, under the limited or restricted lease offer conditions and the

cost involved, it was adjudged not feasible to accept the Supervisors' offer;

rather, to explore the possibility of limited renovations and adaptations to

the City's Central Garage facility for bus maintenance purposes. Accordingly,

Council requested that an estimate of the cost of such limited renovations

and adaptations be presented to Council at its forthcoming October 23rd meeting.

The next two items on this meeting's agenda, viz., (1) the request received

March 13, 1973 from the Henry County Public Service Authority that its

sewer service contract with the City executed April 27, 1971 be enlarged

and extended to include a portion of the Beaver Creek watershed area, and

(2) consideration of the Henry County Public Service Authority's inquiry

dated September 27, 1973 concerning the possible sale by the City to the

Authority of the City's water system in the City's Industrial Park, Council

continued for discussion to an Executive Session following its regular

meeting herein covered by these minutes.

Upon apprised of the need to acquire additional right-of-way along East

Church Street near its intersection with Pine Street, in order to better

widen and realign said East Church Street at this point, and upon being

advised that such additional right-of-way is available from property owned

by J.
