Accordingly, Mr. Brown was elected to membership on the WPPDC to succeed Mr. Globman at the expiration of Mr. Globman's term. ,.- Pursuant to request of the Martinsville Volunteer Fire Company, Council unanimously approved the renewal and extension of the Special-Use Permit issued June 8, 1971 (for the years 1971, 1972, and 1973), thus permitting said Volunteer Fire Company to conduct its 1973 Bazaar at Brown Street Field during the period June 25, 1973 through June 30, 1973. ",-' Council acknowledged receipt of the 1973-1974 budget requests of the several local Constitutional Officers, which requests are to be filed with the State Compensation Board on April 2, 1973. Sheriff James L. Carter informed Council that his request does not include sufficient personnel to carry out provisions of recent State statutes as they pertain to supervision of all courts within his jurisdiction, when in session; whereupon, Council indicated its approval of adding two new--and additional--personnel to his budget request. On motion, which was duly seconded, Council unanimously (by recorded vote) directed that these requests, as they relate to salaries proposed, be considered in an Executive Session to be held at the conclusion of Council's regular agenda for this meeting in order that Council might offer some guidelines to City Manager Noland in the preparation of his salary recommendations for other City employees in his forthcoming recommended 1973-1974 City Budget. - Council referred to the Planning Commission, for its consideration and recommendation, a petition filed by Mr. James M.
