<br />50 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />DECEMBER 12, 1972 <br /> <br />approximately $1.00 per capita of the "Federal Revenue Sharing Funds" just <br /> <br />received, to partially defray an operating deficit occasioned by the Hospital's <br /> <br />making emergency room facilities available to all, irrespective of ability <br /> <br />to pay. Mr. Bushnell explained that a similar request is being made of the <br /> <br />Henry County Board of Supervisors. council thanked the Hospital Executive <br /> <br />for bringing this situation to the attention of Council, and agreed to give <br /> <br />consideration to the request. <br /> <br />Mr. Dan Manson, Attorney at Law, appeared before Council to make a formal <br /> <br />request that the City amend the Zoning Ordinance to provide that in p-2 <br /> <br />Professional zones such operations as that of "Interior Decorator" might be <br /> <br />carried out. Mr. Manson noted that this particular situation is already being <br /> <br />considered by the City Planning Commission but he wished to submit his own <br /> <br />suggested wording of a proposed amendment, whereupon Council noted his request <br /> <br />and passed it on to the Planning Commission for its report and recommendation. <br /> <br />Mr. George Mitchell discussed the continued interest of a large group of citizens <br /> <br />in the citizens' request, recently made before Council, for the provision of <br /> <br />"free bus" service. Mayor West recounted the sequence of events which lead <br /> <br />up to the appointment of the special committee, chaired by Vice Mayor Boaz, <br /> <br />and related the work of that committee since its appointment and assured the <br /> <br />group that the work of the committee is progressing. <br /> <br />Mayor West explained that the published agenda indicated the need of an <br /> <br />executive session for the purpose of discussing real estate matters, whereupon <br /> <br />Council voted unanimously to convene in executive session to discuss real estate <br /> <br />matters; following which, Council reconvened into regular session after which <br /> <br />-:..~ <br /> <br />,._._.__..._.,-~--~-..,-_.~..'''.._'-_.'"~..,-- <br />
