<br />~; r'l <br />fvj <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />AUGUST 10, 1976 <br /> <br />"C-2" amendment, upon motion (duly seconded), Council adopted said amendment <br /> <br />(as follows), by a vote of four-to-one (Councilman Lester voting against the <br /> <br />motion to adopt), subject to the City Attorney's ruling as to satisfying legal <br /> <br />process requirements (it being noted that City Attorney Worthy was absent from <br /> <br />this meeting), and with the request that the Planning Commission continue its <br /> <br />study, as proposed in its August 6th report: <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsvil1e, <br />Virginia, in regular meeting assembled this tenth day of <br />August, 1976, that Paragraph "I" of Section V of the <br />Zoning Ordinance of the City of Martinsvi1le be, and is <br />hereby, amended to include the following, being identified <br />as sub-paragraph or line 19: <br /> <br />19. Used car lots and/or repair garages, provided <br />required "screening" is erected or installed <br />and maintained. <br /> <br />In its further consideration of the proposed ordinance (to amend Article I <br /> <br />of Chapter 9 of the City Code) to regulate the construction and operation of <br /> <br />public swimming pools within the City, as introduced at Council's July 27th <br /> <br />meeting, Council advanced said proposed ordinance to third reading in order <br /> <br />to give the City's administrative staff opportunity to confer with interested <br /> <br />parties and with Mr. Andrew L. Dudley, Contractor and builder of swimming <br /> <br />pools, who at this meeting make certain constructive suggestions which might be <br /> <br />included in the ordinance. <br /> <br />Pursuant to its expressed policy of intent adopted at its July 27th meeting, <br /> <br />Council unanimously adopted the following ordinance pertaining to electric rates <br /> <br />and tariffs to be used by the City of Martinsville: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Council of the City of Martinsville, <br />Virginia, as declared by a resolution duly passed by said Council <br />
