<br />"c <br />~ (': 0 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />JULY 27, 1976 <br /> <br />(a) Water Connections <br />For each 3/4-inch diameter connection <br />For each one-inch diameter connection <br />For each connection exceeding one inch in <br />diameter, the fee shall be the total actual <br />cost of materials, labor, and equipment, <br />plus 15% of the total of such cost. <br /> <br />$275.00 <br />$375.00 <br /> <br />(b) Sewer Connections <br />For each four-inch diameter connection <br />For each six-inch diameter connection <br />For each connection exceeding six inches in <br />diameter, the fee shall be the total actual <br />cost of materials, labor, and equipment, <br />plus 15% of the total of such cost. <br /> <br />$250.00 <br />$275.00 <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by said Council that this ordinance shall become <br />effective in accordance with paragraph (a) of Section 3 of Chapter 3 of <br />the Charter of the City of Martinsville, Virginia. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and unanimously carried, Council placed on first <br />amend <br />readin~ a proposed ordinance, to/Article I of Chapter 9 of the City Code, which <br /> <br />would establish regulations for the design, construction, alteration, and <br /> <br />operation of non-private or non-residential swimming pools within the City. <br /> <br />Pursuant to the terms and conditions of the Special-Use Permit issued August 22, <br /> <br />1975 to the Exchange Club of Martinsville, allowing the conduct and sponsorship <br /> <br />by this organization of the Martinsville-Henry County Fair, Council conducted a <br /> <br />review, as required annually, of said permit and then unanimously renewed said <br /> <br />permit for the forthcoming September 13th-18th Martinsville-Henry County Fair to <br /> <br />be held at Liberty Heights Fairgrounds. <br /> <br />Council referred to the Planning Commission, for its consideration and recommendation, <br /> <br />an application for a Special-Use Permit as filed by Mr. Ebb H. Williams, III, Attorney <br /> <br />at Law and Counsel for Mr. Daniel C. Hairston, applicant, who proposed to convert the <br /> <br />former Community Hospital building, recently purchased by Mr. Hairston, to a l2-unit <br /> <br />apartment building. <br />
