In tentative <br /> <br />acceptance of this recommendation, Council called for a duly-advertised public <br /> <br />hearing on the proposed amendment to be conducted at Council's forthcoming <br /> <br />July 27th meeting. <br /> <br />Also, in tentative acceptance of a recommendation of the Planning Commission, <br /> <br />Council called for a duly-advertised public hearing to be conducted at its <br /> <br />forthcoming July 27th meeting on a proposal to amend Section V, Paragraphs "J" <br /> <br />and "K", of the Zoning Code to allow living quarters for one family in a single <br /> <br />commercial building within "C-3 Commercial District" zoning areas, if the single <br /> <br />commercial building houses a single use and is occupied by the owner, manager or <br /> <br />caretaker of such building. <br /> <br />City Manager Noland reported that, at the organizational meeting held on June 8, <br /> <br />1976 by the Board(s) of Appeals for (1) the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building <br /> <br />Code, (2) the Sediment Control Ordinance, and (3) the Flood Plain Ordinance, the <br /> <br />following terms were established for the members thereof, <br /> <br />viz. , <br /> <br />Jackson C. Dodge (Chairman) ..... <br />Rayford B. Smith (Vice Chairman) <br />Stafford G. Whittle, III (Secretary) <br />Richard A. Prillaman <br /> <br />J. A. Gustin . . . . . . . . . . . . <br /> <br />Five-Year Term; <br />Four-Year Term; <br />Three-Year Term; <br />Two-Year Term; and <br />One-Year Term. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and unanimously carried, Council authorized the <br /> <br />charging of anticipated expenses of $22,850.00 against Revenue-Sharing Funds for <br /> <br />CBD Parking Lot development recommended by the CBD Study Commission. <br />
