Chadduck~ requesting <br /> <br />the rezoning from "R-9 Residential" to "P-2 Professional" those two <br /> <br />certain lots situated between Dudley Street and Taylor's Supermarket, <br /> <br />in the Jones Creek area near Northside Drive, with said public hearing <br /> <br />to include the rezoning to "P-2 Professional" of the following area, <br /> <br />expanding Dr. Chadduck's petition: <br /> <br />The area bounded on the west by Northside Drive, on the <br />north by Jones Creek, on the east by property owned by <br />Appalachian Power Company, and on the south by <br />Donovant Street~ all situated across Northside Drive <br />opposite The Children's Playhouse and being adjacent <br />to property on the north zoned "C-1 Commercial" and <br />to property on the east zoned "M-2 Industrial". <br /> <br />Upon motion~ duly seconded and unanimously carried~ Council authorized <br /> <br />City Manager Noland to execute~ on behalf of the City~ a contract and/or <br /> <br />agreement with the Norfolk & Western Railway Company whereby said <br /> <br />railway company, subject to the conditions set forth in said contract <br /> <br />and/or agreement~ will permit the City of Martinsvil1e and its Electric <br /> <br />Department to construct an aerial 12 KV power line across the railway <br /> <br />company's right-of-way at Mile Post R-67 + 5,216 feet to allow for more <br /> <br />reliable electric service to Nationwide Homes and the surrounding area. <br />
