O~("I /' _ ' f..I TUESDAY NOVEMBER 25, 1975 Following a duly-convened Executive Session to consider a real estate matter. viz., the bids received November 11,1975 for the purchase of the City's property at 514 East Church Street, Council re-convened into regular session and. upon motion, unanimously rejected the two bids received, they being in the amounts of $7,010.00 (offered by Dr. Fred T. Renick) and $6,600.00 (offered by Mr. J. Pat Sutton). As the result of payment by Lester Lumber Company (i.e., The Lester Group) of taxes in the amount of $228.00 erroneously assessed by the City of Martinsville for the calendar year 1974 and one-half of each of the years 1973 and 1975, on a tract of land (identified on the City's Tax Map as Parcel 11-(1)-9A,10), situated on Perdue Street, Council determined that the sum of $228.00 should be refunded to this taxpayer, and so ordered. Under date of November 22, 1975, Nationwide Homes, Inc., submitted a letter of application for a Special-Use Permit for the purpose of establishing a unified housing development with special features dictated by the terrain, in connection with applicant's proposed development off Brookdale Road, for which a property rezoning was effected October 14, 1975. Council referred this application to the Planning Commission for its consideration and recommendation.
