Yeas: (4) - Reynolds, Clark, Anderson, Lawson. <br /> <br />Nays: (0) -None. Absent (1) - Ferrill. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING THE PROPOSED LAND USE MAP <br />CITY OF MARTINSVILLE <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in regular session assembled <br />September 26,2006, that in order to assure compliance with Virginia Code gI5.2-2200, it is stated that <br />the public purpose for which this Ordinance is initiated is to improve the public health, safety, <br />convenience, and welfare of the citizens and to plan for the future development of the community, that the <br />Proposed Land Use Map of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, be--and is hereby--amended to the extent <br />that 1104, 1106, 1108, 1109, 1110, 1112, 1114, and 1115 Fishel Street, Parcels 47(01)00/02, 03 & <br />47(02)00/3A-3F on the Tax Map of the City of Martinsville, be designated as Medium Density <br />Residential rather than the present designation of Industrial. <br /> <br />Council next considered the adoption, on second reading, of an <br /> <br />Ordinance naming the short section of street located off Northside Drive, <br /> <br />known as Fairy Drive, and the newly constructed connector between Fairy <br /> <br />Drive and the existing Dudley Street, all as Dudley Street. Absent (1) Ferrill. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING THE COMPREHENSNE PLAN OF THE <br />CITY OF MARTINSVILLE <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in regular meeting assembled <br />September 26, 2006, that the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, be--and is <br />hereby-amended to name the short section of street located off Northside Drive, known as Fairy Drive, <br />and the newly constructed connector between Fairy Drive and the existing Dudley Street, all as Dudley <br />Street. <br />
