Also, since the agenda had gone out, the <br /> <br />contractor has recommended that the sewer easement be shifted 40 feet to the <br /> <br />northeast, which is further away from the firing range. Amendments have also <br /> <br />been made to the easement agreement to reflect this change in location. The <br /> <br />Mayor then called the Public Hearing open. Hearing no comments, Mayor <br /> <br />Reynolds declared the Public Hearing closed. Council Member Ferrill moved to <br /> <br />grant the requested easement and to authorize the City Manager's signature on <br /> <br />the easement agreement; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the <br /> <br />following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5-0. Yeas (5) - Reynolds, Clark, <br />Anderson, Ferrill, Lawson. Nays (0) -None. <br /> <br />Council next considered conducting a public hearing and considering <br /> <br /> <br />adoption, on first reading, of an Ordinance to rezone 1104, 1106, 1108, 1109, <br /> <br /> <br />1110, 1112, 1114, and 1115 Fishel Street (Tax Map 47(01)00j02, 03 & <br /> <br /> <br />47(02)00j3A-3F), from M-2 Industrial to R-9 Residential and an Ordinance to <br /> <br /> <br />amend the Proposed Land Use Map to indicate these parcels as Medium <br /> <br /> <br />Density Residential rather than the present designation of Industrial. After <br /> <br /> <br />Wayne Knox, Director of Community Development, gave a brief overview, the <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor opened the Public Hearing. Vince Stone of 1229 Sam Lions Trail, asked <br /> <br /> <br />about the soil in the area since it was adjacent to the old Prillaman Chemical <br /> <br />plant. Wayne Knox indicated that studies done so far have not shown any <br /> <br />contamination and additional soil samples will have to be taken and tested <br />
