.'I ( ,) ~. ,.I i-..I TUESDAY JULY 8, 1980 beginning July 1, 1980, is ineligible as a member-representative thereon from the City of Martinsvi1le because he resides in Henry County, Council rescinded its May 13th action and, at the same time, expressed pleasure upon learning that Mr. Stone, through action by the Henry County Board of Supervisors, will serve on said Board as a member-representative from Henry County. No action was required of Council on a matter brought before Council by Commissioner of the Revenue D. B. Hanel, dealing with the continued employment of two part-time license enforcement officers, in whose salaries the State Compensation Board has decided not to share, Council being informed that the City's 1980-81 budget anticipates this decision. With Councilman Reed abstaining, all other members of Council accepted for the City, and with appreciation, a donation of $319.82 from Councilman Reed's councilmanic election campaign fund (and treasurer) to be used for the purchase and planting of plants or shrubbery suitable to the landscaping in front of City Hall. Council agreed to meet in City Hall on Tuesday, July 22, 1980, at 2:30 P.M., preparatory to conducting its annual tour of streets for which petitions have been received for the construction of curb-and-gutter and/or sidewalks. Upon several separate motions, duly seconded and unanimously carried, Council accepted the several recommendations from City Manager Edmonds, identified as "elements" encompassed in his Status Report*(dated July 3, 1980) on the City's current UDAG Water Project(s) and verbally amended by Mr. Edmonds as to the recommended site for a proposed ground-level water storage facility off Commonwealth Boulevard, between Fairy and * See addendum to these minutes for City Manager Edmonds' Status Report.
