<br />- n R <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />JUNE 10, 1980 <br /> <br />(I) A sign with yellow background and black letters <br />mounted on front and rear of vehicle reading <br />"Caution - Children" readable up to a distance <br />of two hundred (200) feet. <br /> <br />(2) Amber clearance lamps mounted on upper part of <br />front of vehicle and red clearance lamps on <br />upper part of rear of vehicle, all hooked up <br />with emergency flashing system of vehicle. <br /> <br />(B) OPERATING PROCEDURES <br />(1) No vendor of ice cream and/or related products <br />shall stop his vehicle for the purpose of selling <br />products on any street which is a thoroughfare or <br />on any street other than in the residential areas <br />of the City, except that upon issuance of a permit <br />by the City Manager or his designated agent such <br />vendor may vend his products in a public park. The <br />following are thoroughfares: Market, Church, and <br />Liberty Streets, and Commonwealth and Memorial <br />Boulevards. <br /> <br />(2) No vendor of ice cream and/or related products <br />shall vend his products on the streets or public <br />ways of the City during any hours other than <br />one-half hour after sunrise and one-half hour <br />before sunset of any day. <br /> <br />(3) The vehicle of a vendor of ice cream and/or <br />related products, when stopped for the purpose <br />of selling, shall be pulled to the right-hand curb <br />of the street or shoulder of the road and products <br />shall be dispensed from the right-hand side only. <br /> <br />(4) While stopped for the purpose of selling, the <br />operator of the vendor's vehicle shall have his emergency <br />flashers turned on and his engine turned off. <br /> <br />(5) The vehicle shall not be stopped for the purpose <br />of selling or vending products within one hundred <br />(100) feet of any intersection. <br /> <br />(6) The only noise-making device which may be used on <br />such vehicles to attract customers shall be a bell. <br />The use of such bell shall be of a nature as to not <br />become objectionable to the citizenry. The use of <br />such bell is prohibited when the vehicle is stopped. <br /> <br />(C) LIABILITY INSURANCE <br />Any person or organization desiring to operate under this <br />ordinance shall, before beginning operation under these <br />
