<br />Upon motion, duly seconded and unanimously carried, Council adopted (on second reading)
<br />
<br />the following ordinance (amending Section 10-64 of the City Code) regulating the selling
<br />
<br />and/or dispensing of ice cream and related ice products from motor vehicles in the
<br />
<br />City's residential areas:
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia,
<br />in regular meeting assembled, that Section 10-64 of Article II of
<br />Chapter 10 of the Code of the City of Martinsville, Virginia (1971,
<br />and as amended) be and is hereby amended by the adding thereto, as
<br />Section 10-64.1, the following provision regulating the vending and/or
<br />selling of ice cream and related ice products, from motorized
<br />vehicles, upon streets in residential areas of the City:
<br />
<br />(A) VEHICLE EQUIPMENT
<br />In addition to equipment required by the Virginia State
<br />Code, every motor vehicle used for dispensing and/or
<br />selling ice cream and/or related products upon the
<br />streets in the residential areas of the City shall have
<br />the following equipment installed and operating when
<br />stopped:
