G6 TUESDAY DECEMBER 12 ~ 14-78 Pursuant to recommendation of City Manager Noland, Council appropriated (from proceeds from the sale of property to Pannill Knitting Company, Inc.) the sum of $15~800.00 to retain the services of Mr. John Scoggins, of the University of Georgia's Institute of Government~ as consultant to the City, to conduct a feasibility study toward converting the City's present bookkeeping-accounting-and-allied functions to a computerized data processing system, details of which were set forth in the City Manager's memorandum thereon dated December 8, 1978. Council referred to the Planning Commission~ for its consideration and recommendation, a petition filed by Mr. T. J, Childress, Jr.~ President of Childress-West~ Inc., seeking the rezoning (from "R-9 Residential" to "R-6 Residential") of a ninety-lot subdivision known as Forest Lake Subdivision situated on the west side of Rives Road. Unless urgent business matters demand otherwise, Council cancelled its regular meeting scheduled for Tuesday~ December 26~ 1978. Implementing its resolution adopted November 14~ 1978, inviting the Henry County Board of Supervisors to meet with Council (or Council with the Board) at intervals to consider matters of mutual interest~ Council agreed to meet with said Board on Tuesday~ January 2~ 1979~ beginning at 7:30 P.M., in the Henry County Administration Building~ King's Mountain Road. Council referred to the Planning Commission~ for its consideration and recommendation, a request filed by Mr. James W. Severt~ President & Chief Executive Officer of Nationwide Homes~ Inc., seeking a modification of the Special-Use Permit issued by Council to Nationwide Homes, Inc.. under date of April 25~ 1978. for its development at the corner of Rives Road (Extension) and Drewry Road.
