<br />r"6 <br />.) ) <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />JULY 25, 1978 <br /> <br />In acceptance of the Planning Commission's recommendation (of approval), Council unanimously <br /> <br />voted not to grant a Special-Use Permit to American Property Management Corporation, for <br /> <br />which said firm filed an application at Council's meeting held April 25, 1978, to allow <br /> <br />this firm to construct a fifteen-unit apartment complex at or near the intersection of <br /> <br />Barrows Mill Road with Clearview School Drive. <br /> <br />In tentative acceptance of the Planning Commission's recommendation, Council called for a <br /> <br />duly-advertised public hearing to be conducted at Council's forthcoming August 22nd meeting on <br /> <br />a request filed (with Council on June 13. 1978) by American Furniture Company, Inc., <br /> <br />seeking the closing and abandonment of that portion of Hairston Street which extends westward <br /> <br />from the west right-of-way line of Starling Avenue to the east property line of petitioner. <br /> <br />In acceptance of the Planning Commission's recommendation, Council unanimously voted to <br /> <br />"table" a petition filed (with Council on June 13, 1978) by Messrs. Fred D. Gill and <br /> <br />Silver C. Williams, seeking the closing and abandonment of that portion of "G" Street <br /> <br />which lies between First and Second Streets. <br /> <br />In tentative acceptance of the Planning Commission's recommendation (of approval), Council <br /> <br />unanimously called for a duly-advertised public hearing to be conducted at Council's <br /> <br />forthcoming August 22nd meeting on a petition (filed for and on behalf of Mrs. Margaret S. <br /> <br />Hear~ at Council's June 13th meeting), seeking the rezoning (from "R-6 Residential" to "P-2 <br /> <br />Professional") of petitioner's property located at 208 Starling Avenue. <br /> <br />Although. by report dated July 21, 1978, the Planning Commission recommended the denying <br /> <br />of Mr. Donald C. Custer's application for a Special-Use Permit, as revised subsequent to <br /> <br />Council's action taken thereon at its meeting held February 28, 1978. seeking permission to <br />
