<br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by said Council that the BOCA Basic Plumbing
<br />Code, 1978. and all appendices thereto. be, and the same hereby are,
<br />adopted as the Plumbing Code of the City of Martinsville. Virginia.
<br />a copy of which Code and all appendices thereto is attached hereto
<br />and incorporated into this ordinance by reference as if it were set
<br />forth herein verbatim; and,
<br />
<br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by said Council that an emergency exists, and
<br />that this ordinance shall become effective on and after August 1, 1978.

<br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, heretofore
<br />adopted the BOCA Basic Mechanical Code, 1975. as the Mechanical Code
<br />of the City of Martinsville, Virginia; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, since that time the BOCA Basic Mechanical Code. 1975. has
<br />been superseded by the BOCA Basic Mechanical Code, 1978, as a result
<br />of which it has become necessary to rescind the ordinance adopting
<br />the BOCA Basic Mechanical Code. 1975. and to enact an ordinance
<br />adopting the BOCA Basic Mechanical Code, 1978. as the Mechanical Code
<br />of the City of Martinsville. Virginia; now. therefore
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, in regular
<br />session held on July 25. 1978, that the ordinance heretofore enacted
<br />by said Council adopting the BOCA Basic Mechanical Code, 1975, as the
<br />Mechanical Code of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, be. and the
<br />same hereby is, rescinded in its entirety; and,
<br />
<br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by said Council that the BOCA Basic Mechanical
<br />Code, 1978, and all appendices thereto, be, and the same hereby are,
<br />adopted as the Mechanical Code of the City of Martinsville, Virginia.

<br />1978, as the Fire Prevention Code of the City of Martinsville,
