<br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />APRIL 25, 1978 <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />retained by applicant and is authorized to substitute and submit a revised application <br /> <br />which, with a proposed reduction in the number of apartment units (initially contemplated) <br /> <br />as well as a revised plan for usage of the land therefor, whereupon motion, duly seconded <br /> <br />and unanimously carried, Council authorized applicant and counsel to submit such revised <br /> <br />application with the Planning Commission and, thus, Council re-referred this matter to the <br /> <br />Commission. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Upon recommendations of the Planning Commission, Council approved the following requests for <br /> <br />water and/or water-sewer services, contingent upon the following stipulations: <br /> <br />(1) a request from Frith Construction Company for additional water service <br />(enlarged connection) for the Pannill Shipping Center in the City's <br />Industrial Park, subject to compliance with the requirements applicable <br />to "M-3 Industrial" usage, as set forth in the City's Zoning Ordinance, <br />and with such other of the City's regulations as may be applicable; <br />(2) a request for water-sewer service for the proposed Golden Corral Family <br />Steak House on U. S. Route 220 North, near Commonwealth Boulevard, subject <br />to compliance by applicant and/or The Lester Group (property owner) with <br />applicable requirements of the City's Zoning Ordinance and the City's <br />Subdivision Ordinance as relate to "C-3 Commercial" zoning, and to such <br />other of the City's regulations as may apply, Council further authorizing <br />execution of a contract (yet to be prepared) incorporating terms and <br />conditions under which the City will provide said service(s); and <br />(3) a request from Mr. Milton B. Collinsworth for water service at Lots Nos. <br />64 and 65, Sunset Drive, with Council further authorizing that City <br />water service will be provided, upon request, for the remaining <br />residential lots on Sunset Drive as now are undeveloped. <br /> <br />In order to expedite statutory procedures required in considering a petition filed jointly <br /> <br />with Council on April 11, 1978, by Mrs. May F. Schott1and and the West Piedmont Planning <br /> <br />District Commission, initially involving an application for a Special-Use Permit but <br /> <br />necessarily expanded to include a request to rezone Mrs. Schottland's property (at One <br /> <br />Starling Avenue, which the Planning District Commission has contracted to purchase for <br /> <br />offices--headquarters) from "P-l Professional" to "R-6 Residential", Council directed that <br />
