There being no objections registered to this request and <br /> <br />proposal, Council unanimously adopted the following ordinance amending the City's Zoning <br /> <br />Map and effecting said requested rezoning: <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsvil1e, Virginia, <br />in regular meeting assembled this twenty-eighth day of March, 1978, <br />that the Zoning Map of the City of Martinsvi1le, Virginia, be--and is <br />hereby--amended to effect and reflect an "M-l Industrial" zoning of <br />Graves Supply Company's property (not already so zoned) consisting of <br />two lots, identified as "Lot B" and "Lot e", situated on the west side <br />of Harris Street and adjoining presently-zoned "M-l" property of said <br />Graves Supply Company. <br /> <br />Council unanimously called for a public hearing on Nationwide Homes' Application for a <br /> <br />Special-Use Permit, as approved by the Planning Commission at its meeting held March 16, 1978, <br /> <br />under which applicant proposes to construct an apartment complex at the corner of Rives and <br /> <br />Drewry Roads, said complex to consist of four buildings, each containing five two-bedroom <br /> <br />apartment units. The public hearing was scheduled for Council's forthcoming April 25th <br /> <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Council also scheduled a public hearing at its forthcoming April 25th meeting on the <br /> <br />Martinsville Volunteer Fire Company's Application for a Special-Use Permit, on which the <br /> <br />Planning Commission will conduct its public hearing on April 20, 1978, under which permit, <br /> <br />if granted, applicant will be allowed to conduct its 1978 Firemen's Bazaar at the <br /> <br />Martinsville High School parking lot during the period June 26th-July 1st. <br /> <br />As required by statutes, the several constitutional officers of the City (viz., Treasurer, <br /> <br />Sheriff, Commissioner of the Revenue, and Commonwealth's Attorney) presented their 1978-79 <br /> <br />budget requests, which are scheduled to be received by the State Compensation Board at its <br />
