" \...
,} .- \ )

TUESDAY

JULY 13, 1982

whereby Hospital Drive, a private roadway owned and heretofore maintained by Memorial

Hospital and extending from Commonwealth Boulevard to the hospital's nearest parking

lots, would be dedicated for public use and accepted into the City's street system,

including right-of-way owned by Memorial Hospital and/or the City School Board sufficient

to provide for four lanes of traffic (there presently being generally two lanes) with

a four-foot median, curb and gutter on both sides, and a sidewalk on the east side, plus

a utility strip between the east-side curb and sidewalk. Paving with plant-mix of the

two additional lanes, plus other improvements proposed, was estimated to cost $68,000

(excluding improvement costs to be incurred by Memorial Hospital for connection of its

entrance-way to the new four-lane street), of which the City would pay 40%, or approx-

imately $27,200.00, which sum Council unanimously appropriated for this purpose in

acceptance of the proposal.

Council unanimously approved an agreement with the State Office of Emergency & Energy

Services whereby the City will pay up to $800.00 for Insta-Phone Telephone Service for

the current fiscal year, a service to which the City's Police Department has subscribed

for a number of years.

In connection with, and supplementing, Council's adoption on May 11, 1982, of cogener-

ation and small power production rules required under the Federal Utility Regulatory

Policies Act of 1978 and (under) Order No. 69 issued by the Federal Energy Regulatory

Commission, Council adopted the following rate schedule for the exchange of electric

energy between qualifying producers:

Availability of Service

This service shall be available to customers desiring electric
service as an auxiliary source of power to qualifying facilities
