<br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />JANUARY 12. 1982 <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Sec. 3-15. <br /> <br />Vicious. Barki~ or Howlin~ Do~s. <br /> <br />(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to keep within the <br />city any dog which has attacked a human being without <br />provocation or has attacked or destroyed any other <br />animal or property in the city. Any court in the city <br />may order that such a dog be disposed of in a humane <br />manner by the animal warden. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />(b) It shall be unlawful for any person to keep or allow <br />any dog to continuously bark, howl, or create noise <br />which is loud enough to disturb the peace and quiet of <br />any neighborhood in the city. Any such dog, after <br />reasonable notice has been given by the animal warden <br />to the owner, if known, or upon the complaint of any <br />person, if the owner be known, may be impounded in the <br />city dog pound by the animal warden or any police <br />officer. Disposition of such dog shall be in accordance <br />with the provisions of Section 3-10. <br /> <br />(c) Any violation of this section shall constitute a Class 4 <br />misdemeanor. <br /> <br />Sec. )-17. <br /> <br />DisDosal of De~q DOi, <br /> <br />The owner of any dog which has died from disease or other cause <br />shall forthwith cremate or bury the same. If, after notice, <br />any owner fails to do so, the animal warden or other employee <br />of the city shall cremate or bury the dog, in which case the <br />owner shall be liable to the city for the cost of so doing. <br />Any violation of this section shall constitute a Class 4 <br />misdemeanor. <br /> <br />Sec. 3-18. PermittiD€ Conta~ious or Ipfectious Do~s to Strav. <br /> <br />It shall be a Class 4 misdemeanor for the owner of any dog <br />-- with a contagious or infectious disease to permit such dog <br />to stray from his premises if such disease is known to the <br />owner. <br /> <br />Sec. 3-19. Concealin~ or HarboriQ~ Uplicensed or Rabid DOi. <br /> <br />It shall be a Class 4 misdemeanor for any person to conceal <br />or harbor in the city any dog upon which the city license tax <br />has not been paid, or to conceal a rabid or mad dog to keep <br />the said dog from being impounded or killed. <br /> <br />Sec. 3-20. <br /> <br />Penalties for Miscellaneous Violations. <br /> <br />Any violation of this article for which a specific penalty is <br />not provided shall constitute a Class 4 misdemeanor. <br />
