Purpose:

The purpose of this plan is to create an awareness of
diminishing water resources and to establish procedures
to meet the City's needs at various levels of water
supply availability.

II. Background:

A. The City has three primary sources of water supply
with projected yields as follows:

1. Beaver Creek Reservoir - 5 million gallons per day
2. Little Beaver Creek - 1.0 million gallons per day
3. Jones Creek - 0.2 million gallons per day

B. Mode of Operation:

1. Beaver Creek Reservoir is the City's principle source
of water supply, which may be transmitted to the
Treatment Plant by gravity or through pumping.
2. Little Beaver Creek supply is utilized to approximately
60% of its capacity and will be used to its full capacity
by July 31, 1981, after completion of the installation of
a new pump.
3. Jones Creek supply is utilized to its full capacity
through the use of low-head pumps.

C. Reservoir storage statistics for Beaver Creek Impoundment:

1. Elevation when full
2. Lowest usable elevation
3. Capacity (when full)
4. Evaporation-Unusable bottom storage
5. Net usable capacity
6. Supply - full reservoir = approximately
200 day supply for the entire water
system at a demand rate of 6.0 MGD
and assuming no rainfall or discharge
into the reservoir.

826
782
1.33 billion gals.
0.14 billion gals.
1.19 billion gals.

III. Plan:

The Beaver Creek Reservoir is the primary source of water supply;
therefore, this plan is based upon the volume of water in this
impoundment at various levels.

The following critical levels of water reflecting volumes stored in
the Beaver Creek Impoundment shall be used to establish specific
conditions for the restriction of water usage.
